memories, Moments and MOVEMENT

Lately, I’ve been mulling over the truth that nothing – good, bad, or otherwise – lasts forever. All the things we experience in life from birth to death are temporary occurences.

Most of our life experiences are composed of mundane, forgetable routines and activities. Picture a prairie -flat, plain, colorless, and dry.
Thankfully, there are times when something extraordinary happens. We are touched by events that uncontrollaby move our emotions, leaving behind (hopefully) pleasant, enjoyable memories. Picture breathtaking moutains, verdant valleys, roaring oceans and peaceful streams.

These are the Moments we wish (in vain) could last forever. Since they can’t, we attempt to capture them (on paper, in film, on audio and/or video recording) for future reflection and inspiration.

These tangible reminders that we have had the good build our faith during the bad and give us strength for MOVEMENT.

MOVEMENT is the hope that what is past is never as bright as what is future. There is nothing we can imagine that will give us an idea of what waits for us beyond time.

Time waits for no one. We cannot delay it, nor can we hurry it along. All we can do is (hopefully) appreciate every year, month, week, day, hour, minute and second that we are given.

We must treasure the memories, take full advantage of the Moments, and accept the MOVEMENT.

Such is life.
