No tower if flame by night; no pillar of cloud by day.
No sign or wonder within sight; no angel pointing the way.
Still, there is a certainty; a hope that stands secure.
Amidst life’s absurdity: God’s promises stand sure.

So whenever I feel forsaken
I remember He abides

Still, the Lord is on my side.

If lonely or without gain; if rejected everywhere.
Still, there is a peace within; a calm, quiet reserve.
A divine Presence free from sin who never loses His nerve.
