Look At The Big Picture

Every now and then, when I feel a bit overwhelmed, I watch this little clip from YouTube. I remember seeing it on PBS or something as a child, but this version eschews the original narration in favor of a string ensemble. The version I really liked had a soft piano solo in it, but was taken down. If this music doesn’t do it for you (it didn’t for me), just mute it — it’s still powerful.

In the grand scheme of the Universe, our planet and all its dramas — both personal and collective — well, they just seem so small. So anyway, this clip just reminds me of how big my problems really are.

We’re a part of something that’s pretty big, folks . . . and pretty awesome . . . emphasis on “awe.”
